Parent Meeting / Field Trip to IU Bloomington

While on campus yesterday, students were treated to lunch by the Latino Cultural Center. They also hosted us to a mock class, where a syllabus was shared and students participated in a discussion with activities. Students took part in an interactive campus tour, set up as a scavenger hunt. Students had to locate important buildings and historical statues, and take pictures at various places before receiving their next clue. Two current IU students provided a panel discussion for students regarding college life. They got to hear first hand how college is different then high school. Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions to the current students. To finish their day, application and financial information was shared. A List of contacts and scholarship opportunities were shared with the MRSC staff.
